As a growing company, we’re always striving to do and be better. And today, this means revisiting how we approach SIZING at sunbae.

Shopping online (especially for swim) can feel as risky as wearing a short skirt on a windy day - so we decided to reach out to our #sunbaesquad to help us make the experience a little comfier.

In June we went to Instagram searching for sunbaes of all shapes and sizes to join our design team as fit & sizing consultants – and the response was overwhelming! After more than a hundred applications poured in, we narrowed our search to 8 beautiful, bright and talented sunbaes.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

As we work with our fit models to perfect and extend our sizing, you can expect a few improvements in our FW2020 and future collections:

• New Sizes. We’ll be extending our size offering from S/M/L (that fits quite small) in our spring/summer collection, to S/M/L/XL (that fit true to size) for all future drops.

• Baes that look like me, wearing my size. As we shoot our new collections, you’ll be able to see diverse models of all shapes & sizes in each style with their measurements listed. You’ll be able to find a sunbae with a similar body to yours, see what size she wears in each style, and read her personal review of how it fits her curves. Online shopping: but make it easy, personal and trustworthy.

• Design adjustments for each size. Let’s be serious, tiny little straps aren’t holding up a pair of DDD’s – nor should they. With the help of our fit models, we’ll make small design adjustments to ensure each style is optimized in each size.

One of the best things about being a small business is that we get to work so closely with our customers – this initiative being a PERFECT example of that.
